The team which consisted of 10 players and one goalie finished the season in 1st place and accumulated only a few games in which they were defeated. They also showed the Americans how hockey was played by dominating their tournament in Lake Placid. The Nats prepared themselves all year for the playoffs. They started the playoffs playing against the St-Isidore Eagles and with little effort was able to eliminate the team. They were able to them move onto the finals against the Vankleek Hill Cougars. The Nats started the season on a positive note by winning the first two games but the Cougars did a comeback and beat the Nats on their home ice. Without too much worry for the Nats, they played in Vankleek Hill in the hopes of winning the trophy for the second time. To the joy of the coaching staff and fans and with the extraordinary team spirit, the Nats were successful in winning the trophy in Vankleek Hill with a score of 4 to 2!!!
